A lot of study planners stop at simple math: total hours divided evenly across subjects. That produces a number, but not a plan you can actually follow on a Tuesday evening. This tool goes further. Tell it what you are studying, how much time you have, and why you are studying it, exam prep, catching up on homework, general learning, or long-term retention, and it generates a real schedule: which subject on which day, how long each session should be, and a short set of study tips suited to your goal.

Like the other AI tools on ClassTools24, this one runs on a self-hosted AI model on our own server. Nothing you enter is sent to a third-party AI service.

Why An Even Split Isn't Actually A Good Plan

Splitting total study hours evenly across every subject feels fair, but it ignores the two things that actually determine how a week should be organized: which subjects need the most attention right now, and how memory actually works. A subject with an exam in three days needs more time than one with no test scheduled. A subject you already understand well needs less repetition than one you are struggling with. And for material you want to remember long-term, studying it once in a long block is far less effective than spacing shorter sessions across multiple days, an effect well documented in learning research and generally known as spaced repetition.

An even split also does not tell you what to actually do in a session. A generic plan that says "Math: 2 hours" does not help much at 7pm on a Wednesday. A real schedule that says "Tuesday: Math, 30 minutes, practice problems from this week's topic" is something you can actually start doing.

Choose The Right Study Goal

The tool supports four study goals, each of which changes how the week is structured:

  • Exam Preparation gives more time to subjects that need the most review, mixes in active recall and self-testing rather than only re-reading notes, and repeats harder subjects more than once during the week as the exam approaches.
  • Homework Catch-up prioritizes subjects with the most pending or missed work, and keeps sessions focused on finishing specific tasks rather than general review.
  • General Learning spreads time evenly and consistently across all subjects for steady, well-rounded progress without any single subject dominating the week.
  • Long-Term Retention uses spaced repetition: each subject is revisited more than once during the week in shorter sessions, rather than covered once in a single long block.

Picking the right goal matters more than picking the exact right hours. A student with an exam in a few days should choose Exam Preparation even if their total available time is small, since the schedule will prioritize accordingly rather than spreading attention too thin.

It also helps to think of the goal as something you revisit, not a fixed setting. A subject that needed Homework Catch-up this week might move to General Learning once the backlog clears, and a subject in Long-Term Retention mode might shift to Exam Preparation as a test date gets closer. Generating a new plan when your situation changes takes less time than adjusting a static schedule by hand.

Hours, Days, And Student Level

Hours per day and days per week set the real constraints the plan has to work within, from half an hour a day up to several hours, and from a single study day up to every day of the week. The plan will not exceed the hours per day you set, and it spreads sessions across exactly the number of days you have available rather than assuming a full week.

Student level adjusts the plan's language and realism rather than the subjects or facts involved. School level keeps session lengths and instructions simple and realistic for a younger student. College level assumes longer, more focused sessions and academic language. Professional level is written for an adult studying alongside work or other responsibilities, with efficient, realistic session lengths for someone with limited free time.

Real Scenarios

A student with a math exam in three days and 1.5 hours a day available can enter their subjects, select Exam Preparation, and add a note like "math exam in 3 days" to get a schedule that puts more of that limited time toward math without abandoning the other subjects. A student who fell behind on assignments across several classes can choose Homework Catch-up to get a schedule organized around finishing specific pending work rather than general study. A student studying a language or a subject they want to remember well beyond the next test can choose Long-Term Retention to get a schedule that spaces practice across the week instead of cramming it into one sitting.

Subjects that are already in good shape do not need a slot on every plan.

The plan is based only on the subjects, time, and notes you provide, it cannot know your actual class schedule, extracurricular commitments, or exact exam dates unless you mention them in the notes field. Like any AI-generated plan, review it before committing to it, and adjust session lengths or subject order if something does not fit your actual week. The tool generates a fresh plan each time rather than saving or tracking your progress across weeks.
